Open Competition

Prishtina Institute for Political Studies is pleased to announce the open competition for Generation 9 of the School of Politics to begin 1st November 2011. The successful candidates will be selected in this merit-based competition.

Deadline for application submission is Tuesday, November 15th , 2011.

Who should apply?

Prishtina Institute for Political Studies - will aim to recruit as participants for the School of Politics Program for 2012, according to the following criteria:

• Generally under the age of 40;
• Active and aspiring to prominence in their chosen sphere of activity;
• Providing a good cross section of society with a good percentage of women and representing the country’s geographic, religious and ethnic differences;
• Reflecting a wide spectrum of political view points;
• Knowledge of English language;
• Drawn about equally from each of the following categories:
  • the political parties represented in parliament;
  • civil society in a broad sense, including prominent activists from the NGO sector, media, universities and business;
  • the civil service, including national and local administrators, teachers, the judiciary.

In addition to the above-mentioned criteria, the selection procedure established by the School will favour those applicants who will demonstrate open-mindedness, readiness to engage in debate and express their opinions, as well as to interact and network with other participants and speakers/experts at the seminars.
